Fantasy and Science Fiction

Fantasy been my life for a long time. I don't remeber why or when but it always was there. I devote this shout section to fantasy and science fiction. I will add information about diffrent mythical creatures as well as pictures I found online. Please enjoy.

Angels, Faeries and Folklore

A fairy is a spirit (supernatural being) found in the legends, folklore, and mythology of many cultures. They are generally humanoid in form, though of a higher, spiritual nature and so possessed of preternatural abilities. They are often depicted with wings and an ethereal glow, lithe and beautiful. They are also regarded as aloof, ephemeral, mercurial, puerile and whimsical, among other qualities that place them outside of a human scope and have a tendency to make them associated or confused with other mythological creatures.

Fairies Information Here

An angel is an ethereal being (meaning it is "of the air"), found in many mythologies, whose duties are to assist and serve God or the gods of many religious traditions.

Demons

In religion, folklore, and mythology a demon or demoness is a supernatural being that has generally been described as a malevolent spirit but outside Christian circles was viewed as a sort of elemental spirit: compare Daemon and djinn. A demon is frequently depicted as a force that may be conjured and insecurely controlled. The "good" demon in recent use is largely a literary device (eg: Maxwell's demon). In common language, "demonizing" one's opponent is an aspersion.

As the Indo-Iranian Avestan and Vedic traditions and also other branches of Indo-European mythologies show, the notion of demon has existed for many centuries.

The Greek conception of a daemon, δαίμων, appears in the works of Plato and many other ancient authors, but without the evil connotations which are apparent in the Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Bible and in the Greek originals of the New Testament. The medieval and neo-medieval conception of a "demon" in Western civilization (see the Medieval grimoire, the Ars Goetia) derives from the ambient popular culture of Late (Roman) Antiquity. The Hellenistic "Demon" eventually came to include many Semitic and Near Eastern gods as evaluated by Christianity.

Greco-Roman concepts of daemons that passed into Christian culture are discussed in the entry daemon.

In some present-day cultures, demons are still feared in popular superstition, largely due to their power to 'possess' humans, and they are an important concept in many modern religions and occultist traditions.

In the contemporary Western mystical tradition (perhaps epitomized by the work of Aleister Crowley) a demon, such as Choronzon, the "Demon of the Abyss", is a useful metaphor for certain inner psychological processes, though some may also regard it as an objectively real phenomenon.

Hello and Welcome

Please feel free to rest a little and get to know me some. Comment on my art or critique it as well. I don't mind if you critique but be kind. :) If you like to know more about me the best bet is talk to me. I am 21 years old and I am going back to school for game design in January. I really can't wait and hope to do well. I am a big anime fan! I love everything from Sailor Moon to Vampire Hunter D to Gundam Wing etc... I am not very picky on the anime I watch as long as it is entertaining. I also like American cartoons like The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Invadar Zim, Spongebob, Teen Titans (to name a few). Well enjoy and please don't be shy.
